    Performance Mods

Looking into getting some performance mods as the exterior and interior is getting there now.
I've got a 1.6 16V Twinport (Z16XEP) and so far I've got K&N filter panel, de-restricted airbox, promotasport air intake and a S/S CAT back system.

I know I can get a 200 cell sports CAT and manifold but what else can I do? I don't want to go as big as turbo/ supercharging as it's pointless concidering the money involved and the fact that it's only a 1.6.
Any ideas welcome and if you've got any links/ prices even better.

As far as I get from this forum changing the intake manifold is darn expensive but gives very good performance gains. Looking around £1000 for a new performance one as far as I can find though! Check out the Courtenay website and also Regal Motorsports. A remap would add some responsiveness and a little power too though it may be better held off if you are planning on anything else major as the remap should be able to be set to make the most of all mods.

Doubt there's much more than I already mentioned to be honest...have a trawl through the Courtenay and Regals sites to see what they offer, though any options will be looking at big money to get much more power out of the 1.6

    Follow jam On Twitter
Inlet manifold is where I'd start.
    Followed by sports cat/manifold.
What you can do to reduce down the cost is find a manifold from an X16 car as they should be the same, bolt that on and buy a generic sports cat. The X16 engines have the CAT underneath the car and not on the manifold making the manifold cheap to buy and the generic sports cat also cheap to buy in comparison of a sports manicat like the Z engines have.

Then some fast road cams. That should see you kick some more power out of her.

was just going to suggest cams, they will (according to pipers website) give you an extra 10+ bhp. Real world i dunno if this is true but it will deffo give you some extra oomph.
