Right where to start really, its been fantastic really really fantastic My first time ever driving abroad, Ok here goes.........
Put me light converters on before leaving
then its time to sort me bits out
2am Friday pick my mate up and off we go to Calais, get there earlier than the 10:05 we where supposed to be on but loads of space on the 08:05 ( bonus ), wait for this one to reverse out the road and off we go
bye bye uk
right munchies time, some grub and a 'costalot' coffee
then up on deck seen as it was quite nice random boat in the middle of the sea
and pic whore seagul
again nowt really of interest so first stop was in France services, by now was quite warm, red bull was in order and a smoke for Paul
Next morning we decided Luxemburg was not the place to be and headed of to Adenau which was the next stop
quick pic before we left 'car' shot at hotel
oooooh getting close now
get our room sorted
and by now the car park was filling up
we then decided to take a drive over to the ring itself as there was the 'VLN' racing ( however trying to find the right part proved 'fun' in itself ) anyways stopped at one part of the track for some pics
then some german pointed us in the right way for tourists laps, although it was due to open sat night it never so bought me 4 lap ticket and went back to hotel. But by now the car was looking in a sorry state and there just wasnt a jet wash
there was a casualtly from the car wash tho on my car ( you shall see )
anyways 13 euro later it was shiney again.
Not much happenend sat night but we had a excellent steak in the Blau Ecke.
Sunday morning came and i was nervous/excited about driving up there and the casualty from the car wash was apparent my reg plate had come off at one end asked the people at the ring for selotape and bodge job complete
then there was this beasty
so it was rude not to
Very first lap of the ring was then done in the ring taxi with 'Klaus' now given the track was wet / dry / damp / wet you get the idea it was a truley awsome lap 2 crashes we seen while in the ring taxi didnt fill me full of confidence tho.
We then met up with JF Cole who we'd met the night before and he had hired a Clio 197 for the day from RSR ring rentals, and he knows the circuit turn for turn so my first 2 laps where done like a rocket and how it should be
then hopped in the 888 and decided it was time  now they say computer games dont even come close and boy are they right first lap was done slowly and with alot of caution ( smashed focus st was still on the track, and now there was also a BMW smashed up ) so lap 1 completed...........phew ! what a buzz tho. As we pulled in we decided to go straight out as it was very quiet, this time tho track was a bit drier and i know the limits of my car on the road but on the track it was just immense, the handling, the braking the lot was just awesome loved it, 2nd lap time i also reset my trip computer
22mpg around the ring, its lowest is usually 40mpg vxr owners would be proud
after the 2nd lap the smell from the 4 pots was present to show they had done there job perfect and the squeel from my new tyres on track showed it was being driven, in the back of your mind tho you have to give the ring 150% respect at all time as it will bite back and hard as id already seen, there was a few 'phew' moments tho so after the second lap it was time for dinner.
oh and the amusing german sign pic
anyways fun over back to the track for my last 2 laps, 3rd one the track was dry(er) and once again the car did me proud, so we decided straight out again even tho it was strating to rain again, but as i was driving to the barrier they stopped me as they thought i was filming, what they had seen was my phone holder that sticks to the window and thought i had a camera attached no issues so out for the 4th lap
link from ring mazda had my car on ( JF Cole )
4th one complete and still buzzing it was time for some piccies
