    Smile Wiring a Parrot!

I need my Parrott hands free to operate from the auxilliary switch on the ignition so that when the ignition is off the Parrot stays on, but goes off when I click the key fully back to take the key out. I have a good reason for this as am in mountain rescue and am frequently parked up for hours talking to Police etc. Any help appreciated.

Mine stays on until I take the key out...

What way is it wired, and what head unit are you using?

depends on what car you have.

Mk4 astra you can wire it to the ign feed on the radio which will not shut off till the key is removed

    or

mk5 go for the cigarette lighter for the ign feed and you should be able to turn the engine off then leave ign on and the kit will stay live.

Unfortunatly the live you pick up for the parrot on the MK5's is a igniton live and not accessory live, I don't believe there is one at all on the car without using a canbus adaptor

There's an ignition live on the climate control you could tap into that
