    Dbilas Flowmaster question ??

    Hi all,
    Ive seen a few MK4 Astra's with the Dbilas flowmaster kit fitted, As well as them looking the part how much of a power gain do they give (my car is the 1.6 16v) as there not cheap at 257 pound Are they really worth it

    With all due respect, the power gain from one of these kits fitted to a 1.6 would not justify the £257 purchase price IMO.
    Look for a different, cheaper induction system or de-restrict your OE intake and spend £40 on a 'performance' air filter to go in your standard airbox.
    I would be more inclined to spend the money on an exhaust system, a Regal remap (£250) or beer and curry

    I already have a 57i on my car, I was just curious as to find out what kind of power increase they give for the money otherwise i fully agree that 257 pound would be better spent on a full exhaust system or re-map.

    Due to the way Vauxhalls monitor air flow very very little can be gained by changing the induction. Changing the inlet manifold will bring home the big BHP gains. But they cost .... A LOT.
