The only setting i've come accross is to turn the warning sound off to remind you to remove the facia

Only a couple of things i think could have been different, one is turning that beep off and the other is being able to answer and incoming call from the streering controls but oh well, for the price its brilliant, i bought a refurbished one from ebay and it was immaculate.

I have been told by other people that when talking to me they wouldn't even know i was driving or on a hands free.

I used to have one of these units, i cant remember if there was a control to turn the beep of when changeing the volume, go through the menu and see whats there.

The handsfree facility in the unit was fantastic, as Bubba said when i was talking to people on the handsfree they didnt realise i was using hands free.

Shame i had to get rid of the unit, i might get another.

so how hard is it to fit this just pull the standard head unit out with the keys and plug these wires into the plugs in the dash and then plug into the headunit and thats it? no cutting or anything? also do i need to buy a ariel adaptor or anything else?

Headunit is as easy to fit as you think apart from the mic which you already know about. With the steerign wheel controls it really will just plug in with no cutting of wires.

A aerial adaptor should come in the pioneer headunit box

I put my micrphone at the top of the pillar, took about 5 minutes, took the clocks out, routed the cable through, taped it down, out the hole on the side of the dash and just ran it up inside the rubber on the pillar and just left it coming out of the top of it and it holds fine.
