    Angry coupe turbo fueling issues

    hi all i bought an astra coupe turbo in december love it to bits until it started playing up two days ago it felt like it had run out of petrol i had a fuel pressure testing gauge on it and the fuel pressure drops from 3.3 bar to less than 1 and the car dies any ideas changed the fuel pump and filter already

    Try the fuel pressure regulator and check the vacume pipes

    ok mate thanks is it worth buying an fse power boost valve instead of a standard 1

    before changing the fpr, put a clamp on the fuel return pipe and see if the pressure shoots up. If it does the fpr is knacked for sure. If not then the fuel is not getting to the rail. Seeing as you have changed the pump and filter that would only leave either a huge leak or a crimped pipe.

    hi all i have now changed the fuel pump the fuel filter the fuel pressure regulator the fuel pump relay and removed the feed to the rail and there is fuel getting there but when using the test gauge it still drops from 3.3 bar to under 1 when the fault accurs

    have checked fuel pipes and there is no crimped pipe or leaks could this be a power drop to the pump

    hi think this fault is to do with the swirl pot in the tank as when car has half a tank or more it is fine and doesnt happen anyone had this trouble ?

    there was a problem on the early cars with the swirl pots coming loose. Think ,ine is at fault as when I am 1/4 or lower I get terrible low fuel pressure in the mornings (before it switches to gas) Filled the tank and waiting for the warm weather before stripping mine down

    mines an 03 plate gonna change it next week ill let ya know how i get on till then its staying above a 1/4
