    boot broken?

    hi,

ive got 2004 astra convertible and when i unlock the car the boot unlocks but pressing the button doesnt open the boot....also if i try unlock the boot with the key the lock just keeps spinning?

any ideas whats wrong or how i can get in to fix it?

all my tools are in the boot and you cant get into the boot from the back seat on this car

Dont they have a few positions on the locks?

Locked, unlocked and lock/unlock with the central locking.

Would it be worth trying WD40 and jiggling the key in the lock to see if it opens.
    |If it does don't reshut it. Strip it out and fit a new lock.
