    leccy windows

    obv my sl4g of a work car doesnt have leccy windows, jus wondering what is involved in changing it over, as im replacing the interior and new door cards have leccy switches.

    just the motor i think the wires are already there.although i haven't seen this for myself.

    1st check the fuse locations for the windows to make sure you have contacts both side

    2nd check the door grommets to make sure you have a large red power wire in them

    3rd check in the doors to see if you have a spare connector in the bottom of the door behind the speaker and one up by the door handle

    If you have all 3 of the above then it should just be a case of getting some electric window mechs and switches to get electric windows.

    If you only have 1 and 2 above you also need to get door looms for both front doors

    If you don't have 1 or 2 above then this will be a tricky conversion but obviously anythings possible

    In all the MK4 astra's i've fitted aftermarket windows to i've not come accross one with the wiring there

    my old 1998 club didnt have the right door looms but i was lucky and replaced the door looms the runners and added the fuse and they worked

    have seen some for sale on ebay with the complete lot, looms, switches, mechs etc, so if i dont have sny of the wiring wich i doubt it will ill get the lot and have a blast
