    fuses

    hi all,
    i have a 2008 astra design 17cdti estate.
does anyone have a diagram of where ALL the fues go and what number fuse does what,
the owners handbook tells you nothing, i replaced a rear bulb and forgot to switch the lights off and when i pulled the plug from rear of rear lights it popped a fuse somewhere as all the lights down the near side went out except for the tail light but i cant find a blown fuse anywhere.
also can anyone tell me if i will f***k anything up if i run a wire from offside rear fog accross to nearside rear fog(every thing in the nearside rear lamp except for a feed wire), why put all the fittings in a lamp and to save a pennies worth of wire leave it) i dont want to run a wire to the lamp and fry anything.
    thanks for any help.
    rick

i wouldn't run any extra wires, just find the fuse, isn't there a fuse box in the boot or somewhere strange like that in the mk5?

yes checked fuse boxes front and rear no fuses blown, put lamp back on car now everything working again, but it would be nice to have a diagram saying what fuse does what as owners handbook tell you nothing about lighting fuses.

in boot fuse box has three large plugs into it, my hand book outside but shows two types of fusebox each with a different part number the one under bonnet looks the same as the older mk5 .

Unplugging the lights when they are on throws up loads of faults, as you have found usually plugging them back in and turning everything off for a while fixes this

As your also finding out there's 2 types of fuse box configirations on these cars
