    recomended tyes for a gsi

    Hi all at the moment i have dunlop tyers expensive they were but im not happy with them they don't seem to grip properly in my opioin anyone recomend a good brand with really good tread to try and prevent wheel spin etc. ?

    Anything but Dunlop to be honest.

    Goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, Vredstein Ultrac, Toyo are all good tyres.
    2007 Metro Blue 5 door Mk5 Elite 1.7CDTI
    6th Vauxhall (4th Astra) in 10 years...plus a couple of other sheds...

    Sorry my mistake i have good year eagle F1's, and there not grippy enough.

    F1's are generally reckoned to be one of the best, is it possible you have some of the rogue Thailand batch that were in circulation last year as they were pretty crap

    I've had Toyo T1-R's and Yokohama Parada's on the front of mine, and both have been amazing in the dry, but the Toyo i found better in wetter conditions!

    Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, get my vote, have them on my Vectra ST200 great tyre. Currently running Yoko Parada on the Astra, still a good tyre but prefer the Bridgestone.
