SPL Dynamics 6.2 and SAK-2902 Door Adapters

    Hey all,

Does anyone have any decent instructions on how to use the vauxhall front door speaker adapters (SAK-2902)? They are advertised on the Car Audio Direct site as adapters for 17cm speakers, but the packaging says 130mm - 165mm. Also, the instructions are terrible, with images that are impossible to make out.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Once you get them mate and take the door panel off it will all make sense

17cm/165mm IMO are the same size. The pods you are getting will just have a adaptor ring in them to reduce the size down to 130mm if needed but of course you will just throw that part away

Ah got you, thanks. I didn't realise the second ring was to reduce the size (doh!)

    Cheers!

Ok can someone explain how the hell these are supposed to fit back on??

I too have the SAK-2902 adaptors - I am ready to fit the speakers and the adaptors dont appear to line up at all - you can almost get two holes to line up...almost

    HELP!!!

For which speakers? You aren't using both pieces of plastic are you? The smaller flat rings are to be used if you are using 13cm speakers instead of 17cm.

    Hi,
The fronts - no trying to fit the big main adaptor bit - holes dont line up for one and secondly the screws it comes with are too thin to grip the door bu the ones in the door as standard were torx 25s with a massive head tried useing them but think it is going to snap the plastic?

Oh why is nothing bloody simple!!!

    hi there
i have just fitted these and the holes do not line up, you have to drill three new holes or at least i did. also when you fit the plastic part put it as low as you can or the door panel will not fit properly and you will have to trim back of door panel. not that bad really.
the original bracket for the factory speaker had a slope so speaker was slanted and these dont which is why mine caught back of door panel.
the screws are meant to be used with new drilled holes, they dont fit existing ones.
worth it when finished though mate.

    ps mine was from halfrauds!
