Astra G warm air in blue temp control knob

    Hi All

    I've just bought a 2001 Astra G 1.7 DTI LS 16V.

When I turn the temperature knob to the extreme blue (cold side), I still get a bit warmish air. Although the control is working as the air is not as hot when I turn the control to the red zone (piping hot when its at extreme red), but its not giving as cold air as it is outside at the moment..

Any pointers where to look for hot air mixing with cold when the control is in blue?

    Thanks in advance...

the heater controls control it manually not electrically so take the console out and see if the wire in the back has come out

and try pushing and pulling the wire fully in and fully out to see what sort of affect it has on the temperature

Also make sure your not re-circulating the cabin air, is the button lit up and when you press it can you hear it working?

Hep, how do I take the console out? Is there a guide that I can follow?

Aaron, I've checked the re-circ mode is OFF, i.e fresh air mode is selected but the car is still giving out a bit of mixed warm air along with cold air...

    Cheers..
