    Maifold bolt problem, MECAHNIC NEEDED!

I ahve had this problem for years now, just haven't got round to having it fixed.

Basically I need an exhaust mainfold bolt removing, helicoling a new thread and fitting new bolts and maifold gasket.

Does anyone know anyone who can help, or has anyone had the same problem and had it sorted.

Its costing me a bomb in petrol, I drive a 2000 Astra 2.0 SRi

    Cheers

Any ½way decent garage should be able to fit a helicoil (and remove the broken stud)

As you've not said where you are, it's difficult to give more specific help

moved to NA engines too, as engines aren't chassis

Good point, I'm in Wigan. I know it's not that big of a job, and could probs have a go at it myself, Helicoil kits aren't too expensive, however I don't have the spare time, and if i balls it up, i'm screwed.

I have been to a few garages, however this type of job is the type of job they can screw u over with, because it could take 1 hour, it could take 5, depending on how long it takes to remove the stud, etc, and i know they aint gonna be in a rush lol

Are there any other alternatives to Helicoil?
