    I found a traction control button...LOL

    Hey All

I was cleaning my car the other day, as you do lol, when I reached right t the back of my glove box and found a piece of plastic. On further inspection, i realised it was part of the centre console thingy with a TC button.

Confused; I pulled the piece of trim off, and put the new one in, I can now turn TC on and off lol

But.... Which is which??? Little light on - TC on, or Little light off - TC on??

older 2.0 Sri had the switch fitted as standard, so I assume a previous owner must have removed it.

Probably for the same reason that VX stopped fitting them

As mentioned, it was a standard fit on the 2.0 SRi, if yours has the grey console then chances are the previousl owner would have taken it from a car which didn't have it. You can get that panel in grey with just the traction control button hole.

Oh and the traction control is off when the light is displayed in the dash instrument panel

on the mk5 you hold the "sport" button (if you have one) for around 5 seconds and ESP off will show on the mileage display and the TC light comes on the dash,

turn sports off and normal operation is resumed
