Astra Mrk 4 Losses power when I accelerate in second gear.

I've just bought a Astra from a dealer and I am experiencing a problem when I excelerate in second gear it looses power when revs get up to 30K it seems to loose power and then gain power again, when it looses power you can put you foot flat on the gas pedal and the revs don't change.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I have no idea what the answer to your problem is, but please... it's lose, not loose

Ok look I was in a rush so my spelling was not great for which I am sorry but I was hoping for some advice on my car not my spelling, no offense intended.

Yes 3000 revs. It just seems to stop accelerating for a second or two and them comes back. It feels really weird to have your for on the gas and for the car to do nothing.

I don't really have an technical knowledge of car engines and what not but if anyone has any idea what could cause this I would be grateful.
