    Thumbs Up FMIC fitted

After a couple of months sourcing all the bits and looking at as much info as possible i got round to fitting my FMIC yesterday.
All i can say is this is one awkward job!!.
The bumper removal went pretty smoothly as did the removal of the old IC. Moved the rad back using the lower bolts and spaced the top ones back aswell. Didnt move the fan as i thought there might be enough room as we managed to get the rad back quite a bit.
Worked out where to mount the IC, made brackets and mounted it. All going well so far.
Next we ran the new pipework, this was a bit of a pain getting it down near the battery but it went with a bit of persuasion
All plumbed in so we trial fitted the bumper.... this is where it started to get frustrating!!!.
It was too far forward so we had to remove the IC and make a new bracket for it. Also we realised that the fan did actually have to be moved sideways. This wasnt that hard to do and we managed to secure it back with cable ties in the end.
In all i think we had the IC off and on about 5 times trying to get it back far enough!. Eventually we got it back far enough and managed to get the bumper back on and secured
7.5hrs later and we took it for a spin. It feels like it pulls harder but i know that the main reason for this was being able to goto Stage 2 so i wont see huge gains yet.
Halfway through the 'test drive' the car suddenly died and the dash lit up like a christmas tree.. However all that happened was the boost pipe popped off so a call to my g/f to bring the van and tools to us and it was all sorted!.
If anyone is thinking of doing this then you WILL need another person. Also read as much as possible about it and make sure you have everything you could possibly need. Thanks to everyone who has given me info about this
Oh yeah and dont choose a day when it rains, hails and snows and wind chill is about -20

Didnt get any fitting pics as there are enough floating around the forum so here is it finished:

Also a better pic of new rear lights and Miltek zorst:

    Looks cool.

It does take a few trial and error fittings but as its half the price of tuning company ones its not going to be a straight fit.

Fitting mine was the best thing I ever did

Nice one mate! Stage two here you come!!

Glad you got it all on, sounds exactly the same as what I had to do.

Hope the pipe which came off was an easy one to get to?!
