    Connecting an amp

    Can any one tell me where i plug the 'Remote Switch Lead' into the back of my sony xplod stereo??

    Not sure on the Sonys.

    There is an electric areal wire on most head units that are 12v when the stereo is on but I think that wire (Normaly blue) is only live when the radio is on.

    Is there a 'remote' wire on the Sony loom?

    My Sony ISO loom had a light blue wire hanging loose on it, think it had REM or something stuck on it.

    Yeh. is that the one i connect it to?

    The remote turn on is dark blue with a yellow or white sleeve.

    The power antenna is blue and white (is constantly on with the radio and needs to be turned on with the af button when listening to cd's)

    No sound in speakers

    Thanks for the help. I've got the amp working and new speakers wired up but there's no sound! Can you think of anything i might of done wrong?

    I take it you have the RCA leads coming from the headunit to the amp connected ok?

    Any switches on the amp etc?

    Yeh got the RCA leads connected okay and thers a switch for the Bass and a switch for frequency.
    could it be the speakers faulty or not?
