    Longlife Exhausts - Any Good?

Was scouring the net for stainless steel exhaust systems as i want to get one for my 2.0 DTi SRi. Had a prompt reply from the local longlife centre (TSR Performance at Bridgwater) offering to custom build and fit a cat back system for £269 inc VAT with a lifetime guarantee.

Has anyone had one of these exhausts before or heard about them? Also do you think that the price is reasonable?

They're similar to Powerflow - it depends on the fitter, how much drink he had the previous day, how cold his hands are, etc, etc.

The last South West rolling road day was held at the TSR (the place i have had the quote from) and they all seemed competant. They are mainly a VAG tuner but must do this on the side...

i had a cat-back system on my corsa, and it was ace!... only problem is watch out for the backbox hook that holds it up fell off but because of the garantee its free to fix! only problem i ever had with a long life exhaust system I'd recomend them tbh

I'd recommend them on my brother's behalf.
He's had his on his Omega for 3 years now, and can't fault it.
The only problem that did happen was middle box in the system started rattling due to it not being welded right, but they made a new one up and fitted it free of charge, and this happened about a month ago.
Definetly worth the money with them.

Would this be a better option then a £300 backbox?

mate had one fitted on his 1.8t a3 and its bloody good i think but again the fitter didnt clip it correctly into the rubber and it did fall off a few times but seems to be okay now... his is very loud tho but i think u can tell them how loud u want it... cant remember off the top of my head but overall bloody good exhaust and very resonably priced iirc..

Sounds a fair enough price to me mate, never had a long life exhaust so cant give an opinion. But life time warranty - cant go to wrong.

Get my ss cat back done at Infinity exhuasts in Yate, spot on there mate. Might be worth giving them a try for a quote to?
