    UK Holidays

simple question really, whereabouts would you recommend for a UK holiday and why?

we've got relatives and/or friends in all parts of the UK more or less, so we're looking to do the rounds this year and get to see a few, to get them "back in the loop" so-to-speak ahead of our wedding next summer...

so whereabouts would anyone recommend for a UK break of say 4-5 days? we're going to go to two or three places for that length of time, having a fortnight holiday in total in September.

all sorts of places considered, we'll be looking for a stay near a beach, another in the countryside somewhere, and then possibly a city break. any thoughts? don't mind camping/hostels/caravans/butlins-type holiday camps/travelodge etc.. anything really

Our relatives etc are literally all over so depending on where is suggested and why, we would then travel out to see the local ones.

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

all very well but there's the slight factor then of my OH

I am working towards the Nurburgring trip as well, but I will have to see as I don't think funds will stretch that far - if business goes as I hope it to, I may be parting with a fair chunk of cash for an addition to the family fleet by then, and there would (hopefully) be the small matter of a Courtenay bill for the mk3 that would stretch to the value of a brand new small Korean hatchback as well...
