Nearly time for a new company car....

Not for me obviously, but for my Dad. He's due for a new car in March '09 which only gives us (yes us! ) a year to decide (probably less if he goes for something new).

I was chatting to him tonight over a copy of Evo and the new Scirocco is quite appealing to him apparently (although he'll want an R32 version and that might not be out by March). I'm thinking a second hand RS4 could be a good bet or even an S5 (although both would probably mean him needing to put more money in).

Anyway, what are people's suggestions based on the criteria below:

    Value around £30k
No more than 3 years old

He also doesn't want anything too "show off" either cos he'll be going to meetings etc in it and doesnt want to give off the wrong image. As a guide, his 3 previous cars have been: Alfa 156 V6 (with all the sports kit extras), MK4 Golf R32 (with most extras), Fully loaded MK5 R32 with DSG gearbox.

    Scirocco:

    RS4

    S5

    Possible outsider:
    Maserati Cambiocorsa

He's a Senior Partner in a Structural Engineering company. (not the one I work for, a different one! )

We did discuss BMWs but he didn't seem that up for it.

EDIT: Ps. lol @ 430 as a company car!

If an RS4 is an option, it's got to be the one.

I think it might be an option but it'll deffinately have to be a second hand one and Dad will have to put some extra money in which he might not be up for. Still, business is good at the moment. Apparently.

The latest from the Geneva show says the Sirocco looks like this...

total shit, so that wouldn't be on my list.

RS4 wins followed by the S5

535 M sport would be my vote. Falls into the price at a year old i would imagine.

Either that or a C Class. RS4 would be the outside bet imo
