ok i've done the airbox derestricting and put in a k&n panel filter.ordered a vxr cold air feed, pick it up tomorrow.how is the old airfeed removed,is it held in by screws?does the grille have to come out or can it be done without removing it?

I'm pretty sure you remove the top bar (like your going to change the grill) then the air intake lifts out of place (no screws). Replace and reverse what you've done.

Job done although i couldn't exactly fit it in the same place as the factory one because there is a fat pipe right next to the airbox and the connecting part for the vxr intake is already sat right up against this.its 99% in the same place but the two plastic bits that poke up through the slam panel aren't all the way to the right, sort of 90% of the way,if that makes any sense!!

there is a slight increase in noise but nothing major.i was sceptical at first but the car is definitley more responsive through and gears and smoother acceleration too.
