Question Derestricting airbox mk4 - HELP!

    Hi all,
Got a day off so thought I would do this remove the thin pipe thing in the airbox.
Much tougher to get out than I expected!!

Anyway removed top and bottom pipes as per the how to and finally got the b*stard box back in the car again - all good.

I have however noticed that on the join between the box and the air intake from the front of the car (hope this is making sense to someone!!) where the bottom pipe was clipped on there now is a small hole (because pipe and its clip has now been removed)

Is this ok or should I fill this with something - or wrap it in tape or something?

Just thinking that with a hole small though it is the airflow into the filter and therefore into the engine will be reduced kinda negating the mod in the first place?

    anyone?

Not really here nor there but I'd say tape it up. Keep out the nasty hot air from the engine bay. I used silver exhaust wrap from my local £1 land and wrapped the entire intake and beginning of the box in it. Just to seal it all up and because the 1.6 engines hot water pipe rests on top of the intake well done Vauxhall.
