    Induction Kit

    hey,
im looking at getting an induction kit for my MK4 sri turbo, which are the best on the market? and will it perform best by rerouting the inlet pipes as when done changing the airbox from a Z20LET to a Z22SE?

    Many Thanks

If it was me I would de-restrict your current air box and put a k&n pannel fitler in there, also mate a veccy c inlet pipe to it. If you want a kit don't get an open cone as the heatsoak will kill your power. I like the BMC carbon filters, I just like the way they look mostly but as they are closed no heatsoak. The pipercross enclosed ones are good I hear but never used one so can't personally comment on it. If you do go for a kit rather than the standard air box route make sure you get a closed kit to avoid the heatsoak

I had an Apexi fitted for around 3 months and thought it was fine. A couple of week ago though, I re-routed the induction path and fitted a 1.9cdti box and can honestly say I can feel an increase in power.

I've had both now, and would recommend the cdti box if you are looking for power. The Apexi did sound great though.
