    Number Plate Bolts

Does anybody know the size of the bolts and/or have a vaux part number for them?

Mine are rusty and either just want some new ones or was thinking of some stainless ones (maybe with a torx head)

if yours are a screw take a screw off and then go to screwfix / bnq with said screw and get some the same using old one as comparison, easier than getting VX part number, alternatively all VX numberplate screws might be the same on all cars and they'll have lots in stock and you could pick some up, give them a call

Or better still get some of these anti theft jobbies, they won't rust, look better and will stop your plates from being stolen, this is happening a lot nowadays; I'm not kidding when I say I walked down a street not so long ago where about 4 vehicles in a row had their plates missing!!

Oh and by the way these are now an officially licensed vauxhall accessory!

I'm sure they are No12's x 1¼" in size and defo self tappers

I've got stainless security Torx screw on mine and they were a bugger to find anywhere that sold singles for a reasonable price. IIRC I ended up paying about £12 for 4 delivered

I would highly recommend using no more nails tape as well, it’s so strong the plate will shatter if you try and remove it. Costs about £5 a roll from B&Q, Tesco Asda or whatever.

I just compared my screws to some stainless torx self tapers from screwfix. B&Q sell stainless self tapers but only cross head. I prefer something harder to remove.

I have done a thread on number plate theft a while ago ...

They were torx T20 if thats any help.
