Does this quote sound about right???

Hi all i just phoned Adrian flux as they are highly recommended on this site!

I'm 23 with 2years ncb. No Claim or conviction. Not used for commuting and only doing 5000 miles a year.

    HA8 postcode.

They quoted £1300 fully comp for an astra coupe turbo {standard}.

    does this sound about right?

coz i have seen people on here with coupe turbos saying they are paying £900 at 21 with 0 ncb!

Try a few companies to see if that is a good quote for you or not. Last 2 years Bell/Admiral have been unbeatable for me. This year Adrian Flux is much better. Can't compare you quote with anyone else, as no 2 people will get the same quote.

I am 25 with 4 years NCB & had a quote for £550 FC with protected NCB on a standard 51 plate coupe turbo. My postcode is quite bad too (BB18 near Burnley) so I think yours seems a little high. Have you added a parent on? My dad uses my car when I am on early shifts & it actually brought my premium down

Try Churchill. When I had my renewal in January i was 21, 2 years no claims, 1 fault claim in jan 05 and they quoted me £1040!

Was with flux at the time and they gave me a quote of £1000- despite them sending me through a renewal at £2300!! How can they knock £1300 off straight away?! They also insured my mods for free!

    Hello,

There are many factors that contribute to your quote apart from the ones you mentioned which can make it higher even something as simply as having your car in a garage can lower the price.
    Good luck with your search.

    Thanks for the advise.

I know garage is the obvious one and job title but what is a low risk job title?

What other things may help lower the price dan?

Like i said id be happy to pay up to the £1000 mark

Yeah i tried them. really cool guys just said they couldn't get the price down any lower.

He said its something to do with my going from a 1.6 to a 2.0 car. Don't know if thats true?

    Thanks
