    MOT Failure

Hey everyone, need a little help here...

Car (2001 Y Turbo Coupe) went in for MOT and FAILED on F/O/S Ball joint (excessive play). So put a new vauxhall part in, went for re-test, but failed on ball joint again. Got another one (vauxhall again), re-test and failed AGIAN

When looking under the car (on MOT Ramp), it looks like the inner housing the ball joint shank fits into (on the back of Wheel Assembly) is not tightening correctly, causing the shank to move ever so slightly around and so look like the Ball Joint has excessive play.

The screw fits in OK, and we even tried fixing it up with a windy gun for good measures. However not enough to pass.

New hub from Vauxhall is £300+vat (surprisingly never heard of a Astra G wheel hub failing typical !!!!). But i'm hoping it's gonna be something simple. Anyone else had anything similar on theirs who can advise???

MOT expires on 27th, so need to get it sorted asap..

    Thanks.
