    irmscher and alloys

    should i tell me insurance company that i fitted an irmscher back box and 18" alloys i can under stand the alloys but the back box would that matter as it is a vauxhall part.?

    If it did not come as factory fitted it needs to be declared, Else the insurer could void your insurance.

    But if these were fitted at point of first sale? as optional extras? would they still need to be declared?

    my insurance company you have to declare "optional extra's" .. give them a call and see what they say.

    Anything that is fitted once left the factory would be classed as non standard and a modification and would need to be declared to the insurance company. It's always best if unsure just to tell your insurer what you're planning on doing and if it alters your policy rather then do it and have the policy voided.
