    Different Astras in each country

So I see the new Astra "sedan" has landed in Spain at least

And I can find the new 1.7 CDTI 110 and 125bhp engines (6 speed box as standard) in Germany on www.opel.de but not yet in Spain. Anybody got any idea why one country gets some options and other countries dont?

I expect they used the sales figures for the previous model to decide what gets sold where.

MK4 ECO4 Estate never came here, nor did the 2.0 DTI Coupe, Cabby, or any 2.2DTIs

supply and demand. not a lot of small saloon's sell over here hence Vx's decision to not sell them here.

We only get the 100bhp 1.7CDTi over here, but also get a 120bhp and 150bhp versions of the 1.9CDTi
    Gaz

    No longer owns an Astra

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

the 2.2 used the F35 Gearbox and the fatter driveshafts, but I can't see that being the reason, the F35 is no bigger than the F23.

The engine is pretty much identical to the 2.0.
