    Cold mornings

Does anybody have any issues with their diesle starting on a morning?

Its my 1st diesle so may just be me, i wait for the coil light thing to go out then turn the car over and it takes 2/3 turns befre it fires up with a big cloud appearing behind it, i think its due for a service as the light stayes on for a couple of mins whilst driving, iv only recently got the car and was told it had full sh.

    Thanks

When you say service light mate, do you mean the INSP where the mileage is, or the amber spanner symbol thing?

I'm going to guess glow plugs mate, and also give it a service... it wont hurt

the insp thing comes up then goes off pretty much straight away, then the little spanner symbol stayes on abit longer.

anybody any idea how much a full vaux service would be?

try ebay for glow plugs - usually bargains can be had.

Id be 99% positive the bad starting is due to plugs

Slow starting and the light are both signs of dud plugs. A 2.0DTi shouldn't bring the preheater light on for more than a second at most even this time of the year.
