so i think my turbo unit has just died *pics CAR PORN*

Was giving the car a nice tickle today and noticed a cloud of blue smoke behind me coming from my car, i can hear the turbo spooling nicely and the clouds getting bigger, suddenly the car cuts out and refuses to start for a while.

eventualy it started again and the blue smoke had gone, i drove softly for a while and just pressed the gas to see if all was still well, it doesnt seem to boost as well as before but its still boosting. no blue smoke since and i do notice i have oil in my intercooler and boost pipe also a very dark metalic like ooze coming from my bailey dump valve.

this sound like turbo failure to you guys? or is it normal for oil to be in my ic? its had oil in there for some time.

not been my week this week, firstly my locking wheel nuts seem to be stuck on forever and my rear wheel is sporting a 23mm socket stuck on the locking wheel nut!

    now this ARGHHHHHHH

and theres still so much more i need to sort on the car until im completely happy with it.

new belt kit and water pump is on the list too *sigh*

Sorry mate but that doesn`t sound very good does it, i think the previous owner knew when to get rid, your turbo by the sounds of it is shagged, it is normal to have a small amount of oil in your cooler, but not much, blue smoke is a sign of seal failure, mind you dont knacker your cat. with all of your problems, i would take her off the road and sort her out.

pulled her off the road for closer inspection

heres a list of buggered items

    turbo + mainifold
    rocker gasket
    water pump dying
    bearings gone in idle pulleys

wont be using her again until i have my new vxr turbo and fitted new cam belt kit and water pump oh and also flushed out my intercooler.

removed the apexi filter aswell too much heat soak.
