    misting headlights

    as above, everytime i wash my car i get misting inside the glass is there any way of stopping this, its not a lot, just annoying when everyone seems to notice, thanks

    me too on passenger side, think it means new light i am afraid guys. you can clear it up with lights on but it leaves water marks

    unless anyone knows different??

    cars only 4 years old cant need new light already ive checked for cracks and the seals are all ok is this common on an astra

    Every Mk4 Astra will have steamed up lights at some point.

    I found that if you adjust the bonnet so it doesn't sit on the rubbers on the light, then the water doesn't get in.

    On the Mk5 it's the rear lights that mist up.

    i never had my astra last feb so i would not know, but i do know my lights never had water marks in, so i am assuming its the first time its happened?

    i had this and what i done is put the lights in a electric fan assisted oven at 100C for about 15 mins then took the light apart cleaned the inside and got some new silicone sealer, put the lights back in for another 10 mins pushed them back together then resealed the 2 parts and wiped the excess sealant off and its perfect now

    what else you could do is just reseal them all round without takin them apart, that would work but i only wanted to clean inside mine and paint the chrome
