    2000 SXI vs 2001 SXI

    hi guys,

Im abit confused at the moment. I have been looking at the 0-60 times for the 2000 1.8 SXI Astra G, and the 2001 1.8 SXI Astra G. the year 2000 one is 9.5, the 2001 is 8.5. Looking at the infor for the engines, the have the same hp and torque. How is the 2001 model 1 second faster?

    113bhp and 123bhp iirc.

The on road performance difference is zero though.

Mine is a Z18xe and it's a close ratio box in it. The F18 i believe.

Much shorter than the turbo 'box.

Mine hammers away at over 3500 rpm on the motorway!

    its a 2002 plate BTW

All 1.8 Astra Gs have Close Ratio F17, there is no option for a wide ratio on the Astra.

the Z18XE is noticeably torquier than than X18.
My G Estate has similar performance to my MK3 2.0 Ecotec. (before it got a V6)
