    Question 1.7 cdti - is it a 80bhp or 100bhp version

hi all, might be a bit of a blonde question but is there an easy way to tell which engine you have in a 1.7 cdti sportive astra van 04 plate (80bhp or 100bhp version) have read threads which bang on about taking the liner out of the front arch and looking for the ecu but is there an easier way to tell

    If it's a Mk4 van, then it's 80PS. The Mk4 only came with the 80PS CDTi.

I believe so - be aware the Mk4 has a much smaller intercooler than the Mk5, which is probably the main reason.
