    oil pressure sender adaptor??

Im aware that there are afew feeds in the block, but im unsure what the thread size is on a z22se.
Ive heard its a weird size.

the oil pressure sender i will be getting is from older vauxhalls, calibra, nova etc.

    size is

    M14x1.5. i.e metric 14mm thread, and pitch of 1.5.

where can i get an adaptor from to suit me?

it's M12x1.75, and I doubt you'll find one anywhere in the UK

You best (and easiest) bet is to go to www.carshopinc.com - this was the only place that I could find that would ship the adaptors to the UK without charging stupid amounts for shipping or admin

...and order Autometer 2278 METRIC ADAPTER FITTING - you need one per gauge, so if you're fitting a temp gauge as well you'll need 2 of them

if your getting a temp gauge then any UK sender unit won't fit down the hole in the adaptor so you'll have to get a Autometer 2259 ELECTRIC TEMPERATURE SENDER as well.

You can fit the adaptors to any of the blanking plugs in the RHS of the head - there are 3 but the one behind the EGR valve is a bugger to get at, so is best avoided. My diary shows you where they are.

I found that fitting the pressure sender to the head gave low reading so moved it to the where the OE pressure switch was, using the same adapter, but adding a http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gauge-accessor...QQcmdZViewItem so the sender could be mounted remotely.

it gives a perfect reading there, but means you have to do away with the OE switch

ffoeg, ive just read your car diary thread, and seen the z22se when hot is at 6bar and cold 8-9bar.

if so, the gauge i have only reads to 5bar.

    so the gauge doesnt suit?

Yup you need a 10bar gauge - the z22's have very high oil pressure as standard
