    Headlight trouble

The drivers side headlight on my car keeps breaking bulbs.

It was out a few weeks ago, so I replaced the bulb. All was well, but I noticed that the drivers side light was now a lot brighter than the passenger side. Then a week after I first replaced the bulb, my mate told me it was out again. Getting annoyed, I went and forked out again for another bulb and it's gone too now - I only replaced it on wednesday.

Any ideas what it could be? I've still got some warranty on the car (runs out the start of march) so anyone got any clue so i can try and get it fixed on warranty?

Make sure your not touching the lense of the bulb as you fit it and make sure your securing it with the retaining clip so it doesn't rattle around

Have you just tried to remove the wiring and replace it incase the faults there?

Yeah, the lense wasn't being touched and it was always being secured properly back into place after each change. Any idea what could be causing it to be brighter than the passenger side? Or would that be explained by a fault in the wiring?

I'll get the bloke who lives down the road from me to have a scan and see if he can see anything wrong with the wires as tbh even if there was something blatantly wrong with them I don't think I'd pick up on it

    Cheers for the advice.

It could be brighter purly because it's a new bulb on one side and not the other.
