Alarm problem but not sure if it's power sounder...

Hey, i've had a right nightmare with my alarm today, going off every 5 mins after i locked it, thankfully i work at an auto electric place so could get one of the fitting guys to poke his nose around for me. He tinkered around setting and unsetting until eventually he decided to unplug the bonnet sensor and now the alarm works fine.
The obvious answer would be it's the bonnet sensor that's faulty but it seems too easy for a Vauxhall. Could it be related to something else or am i just blessed that it's going to be relatively easy to sort?

    Sometimes vauxhall's can be easy

I'd use the car as normal for a few days and see if it plays up again then when your happy it's been fine plug the bonnet switch back in and see if it plays up again

Have you been working under the bonnet recently where you could have possibly damaged or bent it?

Not at all no, the only work was doing the front bumper about 2 weeks ago but i wasn't anywhere near it. I'll do like you've suggested for a week or so then re-plug the sensor back in. Thanks for the quick response
