    mk3 wind noise

well now I've had a few trips in it I'm getting used to the mk3, however the wind noise is beginning to irritate the a**e off me. Is it bad in all mk3's? any way of reducing it?

I'm sure I'll learn to get used to it, but at the minute the combination of wind noise/lack of headunit/lack of any sound deadening/my first ever aftermarket exhaust, the mk3's bloody noisy in the cabin!

my mk3 was very noisey, its just a less refined car than ur old mk4

i used to just drown it out with music - get a head unit in lol

mind you my coupe is quite noisey but i tink thats tyre rumble more than any thing

Your rubber seals are most probably deformed or perished. Renew them and see if it helps.

    I agree with the seals.
My coupe is terrible on the motorway, so noisy, it sounds like the wind is coming straight into the cabin.

yeah cheer for that Will, I'll try them both at some point

didn't know which section it should go in either, is it mk3 >> bodywork? or is it general Astra discussion because its general astra chat? applies to other marks as well as people have said above!!
