    Clutch switch +CC

What is the point of the clutch switch in the cruse control circuit? all it seams to be is another trigger switch to activate the cc.

I only ask because I've read that after market CC have a switch fitted to neutral/park on auto's instead of the clutch switch.

I would say factory fitted cc on autos have the switch for neutral/park as im prety sure thats how it is on mine (i havent had cause to look for the switch),
the clutch switch would be to disengauge the cc when the clutch is depresed otherwise the engine would still rev high as the cc is still engauged

The clutch switch disengages CC every time you change gear - vital with a manual that CC doesn't keep trying to match throttle/revs to speed during a gear change.

The advantage of automatic + CC is that the chosen speed is maintained even during gear changes.

If CC/automatic didn't reset during neutral/park selection, the engine would run flat out trying to maintain a set speed.

Ok another one about the cc switch.

Has anyone got a picture of the connections of the switch and a diagram of how its internally connected?

The only parts in the CC circuit are the stalk control on the end of the indicator, clutch and brake switch which all links up to the ECU

It's so easy on cars with fly by wire throttle
