    Saving money

Sore subject for me at the minute, but im intrigued to know if anyone makes an effort to save any amount of money per month.

Regardless of what your saving for, do you put some money aside?

Im always trying to put money away, namely for a house purchase - but the amount varys from month to month.

I dont have a car. I dont have a house (yet), yet I dont take full advantage of the zero outgoings every month.

    Anyone else save?

Well I've cut out drinking I don't go out much yet between now and August I will spend over £12'000.

But I will be married so I have something to show for it.

Just cutting out simple stuff can help. But stopping in all the time will cause you to call for take outs or movies to remove the boardom. If you want to earn money and have a life still I can recomend working in a pub.

Yes, but thats no great expense.

My big drain on money is takeaways and eating out. I think I spend circa
£2-300 a month eating out alone. Seriously need to knock it on the head.

Im not really short of cash jam, and dont need to entertain a second job atall, but want to make better use of income I do have.

I save and then see something i want and end up buying it. Iv got so much stuff that i dont use. This year im gonna stop buying stuff. just a 360 game now and again. Wev just put our right to buy in so need to save a deposit. The house is all done nice after 2 years graft so luckily theres gonna be no decor expenses. After weve bought the house its time to save again so i can build an extension with a garage to start a little project which will probably need more saving.

PMSL - New Nandos in fareham opens on the 27th. You in? Had this weeks nandos fix on sunday night. Another £31 down the drain.

iPod touch is a classic example of my erractic and uneeded spending.

    Ouch! Mine cost £17k.
But that included the Honeymoon and keeping the Wedding car .

As for saving money a month. Yep.

I have a set amount that gets transfered into my ISA account on payday.

I also budget to spend £x amount a month, and not go over that figure. That includes fuel etc.

I stopped womanising, eating & drinking out in January and it was horrible, however i saved a notable amount.. I can understand if your at home at the minute, you want to get out at night with the other half, perhaps find some other entertainment as opposed to eating out?
