    little bit of help with music

    does any1 know of a program i could get onlinethat cuts music (i hope thats the right way to say it) . . hope you can help me out

    I wonder whether you could download a free version of Numark Cue - that's djing software so may allow you to do what you need to do?

    thanks for your replys . . .what it is i want to do is . . . .

    im gettin married in sep and me and the other half wants to do a first dance what will be funny and 1 to remember . . we will start off doin a slow dance then the cd will skip and adifferent song will come on were we will be doin a faster dance and then after awile make it skip back to the slow 1 to finish off . . .. theres some vids on the net of other couples doin this so we thought it would be funny todo it with out any of our guests knowin we will be doin it . . . . so i need a program to cut the music

    Audacity!
    Its free, open source and great..very similar to sound forge

    or as geoff says you can use windows movie maker which is already on your pc

    Audacity all the way. Free and fairly easy to use. I use it to make ringtones for my phone.

    You will probably have to download an add on pack to save the file as mp3 as when you import the music, the programme converts the media to an unrecognised sound format.

    Audacity will tell you the name of the add on so just do a quick search on google. If you get stuck PM me with your email address and ill send it to you.

    Its a daft wee file you need to open before it will save to mp3 but I have that and I can send u it if u choose audacity.
