    New Zafira owner

    Hi All,

Just picked up a Zafira 1.8 Design yesterday from Motorpoint and then found this forum. Traded up (?) from an 02 Focus following the recent arrival. Only had it 1 day but so far it does the job ie you can put a Quinny pushchair in the boot and still have room for something else, a rear facing child seat in the second row and not have to drive with your knees under your armpits when you're 6'+.

Got a couple of questions already that hopefully someone can answer:

    - Can I get the flexorganiser rails fitted or are they factory fit only? I can't see the actual rails on the vauxhall accessories website and I think they'll come in handy to make use of the hangar in the back.
    - How do you actually get a passenger into the back seats without using the boot? Do you have to fold up and slide the middle row or am I missing a lever somewhere? No actual plans to use the rear seats yet, but you never know.
    - How do you work those bl**dy indicators!

hi mate, welcome to AOC and the bus lane

the middle seats have a lever low down on either side visible from the passenger door as you open them, it pulls forward. then grab the backs of the seats and give em a damn good shove! when this is done take a look at the seat tops (by the head rest) and flick the switch, this allows the seat backs to move forward allowing passengers into the fold up seats in the boot.

indicators.... what d'ya wana use them for?

Welcome m8, what year is your Bus as that would be a little more helpful. If it's an old shape one then just do as MM said but if it's a new shape one then sorry can't help but maybe one of the members with a new shape one can. Can't have thought vauxhall would have changed the design of that bit to much though.

OOps, sorry 'tis an 07 plate. I think I'll have a play around tonight if it doesn't rain and try out what's been suggested by MM.

I'm already considering trying out the Cruise Control mod, but I'm sure the Mrs won't be happy if I start taking apart her new bus already (even though it's legally mine). Need to check for the clutch switch first though.

I'm sure most of my niggles are just part of switching from a Ford to a VX and not being familiar with the controls so far. Someone did suggest I RTFM, but where's the fun in that (and from what I've read of it so far it would be less confusing to just suck it and see).

They're a bit strange to get used to on the new models, (I had one for a while after someone smashed the back of my car in.)

As far as I recall, you kind of touch the indicator without clicking it for a 2-3 flash indication. ( think changing lanes etc)
You have to click the stalk when you want to indicate on approach to a turn.
This should self cancel once you've turned and straightened up.
( if you change your mind, you might find yourself indicating the other way if you try to cancel yourself.)

You WILL get used to it.

It's a new Bus, be gentle

    Welcome to the forum.

I believe the flexorganiser rails are a factory fit option, as the rear most seat belts are also different to accommodate the rails.
