    Hazard light/button MOT question

Does anybody know if its an MOT requirement for the Hazard button to light up when its depressed?

As it stands at the moment it only comes on when the headlights are switched on. Do i need to come up with a clever wiring solution, or does it not mater?

5 pin relay headlight to pin 87a, pin 30 to poss illumination of the led the neg end of the led to ground, this switch has 2 switching sides one on either side that does N/O and N/C, put a neg feed to the input and then use the N/O pin on the switch to go to pin 85, use a poss feed for pin 86 and use a poss feed for pin 87, Job done, press it the led comes on, turn the lights on the led comes on

This is currently how i've got the switch wired, which gives me the results mentioned eariler.

Could you clarify which wires need to go on the other side?

    Thanks

Right get rid of the Fag lighter light live wire and run that wire to a 5 pin relay, the pin out that you need to is pin 87a, Now pin 30 on the relay goes to where the fag lighter light live wire was (ie on the pos end of the LED) Pin 87 and pin 86 just run a live to those pins, Run a neg feed to pin 1 on the other side of the switch and then use pin 2 on the switch to run to pin 85 on the relay, Now when ever the light is on it will light up or when ever you press it now it will light ups for the second you press it if it's a momentary switch if it is a latched switch it will stay lit up till depressed HTH

Yes should do just give them a phone call and make sure it is a five pin as in one of the comments the maplin says it is a 4 pin and in another one maplin say it is a 5 pin,Just make sure it is 5 pin first
