    1.8 SRi

    Hi,

I have searched, and couldn't find the answer so I thought I'd ask.

I'm looking at getting the 1.8 SRi (a 54 plate in this case). However, reading the car reviews and the vauxhall site I'm getting conflicting information. Reviews seem to suggest the car is 125BHP, whereas the Vauxhall site suggests it's 140BHP. The Vauxhall site also suggests that it has lower emissions than the reviews say.

    So my questions are:

    a) How many bhp is the 54 plate SRi (was the engine changed by Vauxhall recently?
    b) How much is tax on the 54 plate?
    c) Is there any problems people find when using the SRi on a daily basis, such as uncomfy seats or similar?

    Thanks,

    James

54-plate will be a 125bhp, later models (around 56plate IIRC) moved onto the newer 1.8VVT engine which is 140bhp

    Hi,

Thanks for all your help. I am now going to get a 56 plate 1.8 VVT. Is there any annoying things about them? How are they to live with as a day to day car? Is there anything I should look out for?

    Thanks a lot

    James
