    Engineer

Anyone on here a engineer? i need something making, i jsut sent a few emails to engineering companys to see if somewhere round here can do it but if one of u lot can do it i might get u to do it. Here is a rough design of what i want (sizes and threads to be confirmed) it is to be used as a tool so it would need to be made from something strong (Malleable steel or what even impact sockets are made from) or heat treated etc.. as normal bolts that i have been using have been snapping

Should think any decent engineering company could do it, just turn down a bit of hexagonal bar then heat treat it.

Making it shouldn't be difficult for any engineering firm.

The cost would be getting it heat treated to ensure it suitable to be used as a tool (i.e. not brittle)

you wouldnt want the hex treated, it would make it brittle and more likley to shear, is the m10 the whole 20mm?

its for torsion bars, slide hammers dont allways do the job as most torsion bars are seised in so i use a socket and a m8 bolt to remove torsion bars, like so (made the animation in paint lol)

but the bolts break alot so i had a idea to make one that i can tighten up on it and then also connect a slide hammer to it so i can have the tightness off the socket and bolt pulling at it combined with the shock of the slide hammer to un seise some of the stuck torsion bars.

both ends can be m8 thread as i was just guessing at m10 when i did the pic but i just checked and the end that i needed as m10 is not m10 or m8 but i can adapt it to work if i do it as m8. going to a mates dads engineer shop tomorrow to see if he can do it

if he cant do it ill give it a go, you could mill the hex into it instead of welding a nut on, would be stronger imo
