    Fog lights

    Ello all.

Just noticed that both the pieces of glass on my fog lights are cracked.
Does anyone have the part numbers for these and a cost?

Oh, and any gen on removing the old ones and fitting new ones?

    Update:

Called VX. You can't get just the glass, you need the entire fog light, according to them.

£45.30 + vat each (Normal Customers)
£90.73 inc Vat for trade discount.

    Part Numbers:
    Left: 93252449
    Right: 93261997

There has got to be a cheaper option, surely?

I have had this same dam problem on both my sporthatch H's...

I ordered them online through the following company website...

    http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/v...cessories.html

The more you order the more they discount... All in i got 4 for just over 100 including postage...

I am planning on fitting these this weekend... From looking at them i think it is just a case of Jacking the cars up (securing on axel stands), unpluging the wiring loom, removing 4 torque screws, removing the lights, swapping the bulb over and then fitting new lights in the reverse of removal. I think they also need adjusting which should be interesting as this is something i have never done before...

Has anyone done this alread who may be able to confrim the fitting instructions and give an idea of how to adjust the light levels?

Failing that... I will give it a go and let you know how i get on... Whats the worst that can happens...

Ok, so they are now fitted... The Drivers side is easy to do but the passenger side is a pian in the ar$e... You have to reach round into an impossible space at an impossible angle and find a screw you can seen and undo it... Took almost an hour on the first car after which time i sussed that by undoing the two screws holding the bumber on inthe passenger wheel well then i get just enough room to get in and undew / redew the screw. The second car took 10 minutes...

As for adjusting the lights, i called the vaux gargae and spoke to my parts depart. They explained about lining the lights up using a wall (or garage door in my case). It was a simple job in the end...

The lights i got are not GM but they are exactly the same and as far as i can tell they have the exact same build quality...

I'm off to wash the sweat and blood from my arm and see what else i can do to the car's today..
