    Dump Valve question

hi do Bailey dump valves damage the turbo or protect it? Are they good or are other brands better? What bbrand/model is BEST recommended for the coupe turbo Z20let other than Standard dump valve???

Dump Valve's do nothing more than make a noise. Which is fine if you like that kind of thing. But the majority (if you do a search) will tell you they just cause lumpy performance.

For what ever reason the Z20LET (turbo engine you have) just dont like dump valves!
    I'm after another Coupe Turbo

I agree with clemo, put your money towards something else, they sound very poor.

must say i have a bailey d/v on my zafira and it sounds like a sneeze!
but i did notice that the turbo spooled up quicker when changing gear.
also i've had no running issues but as said many people do.
why not try getting a loan of a mates to try for a week and make your own mind up?? nothing to lose

They are good for the turbo as they stop the air flowing back into the turbo. Like the other mentioned, i wouldnt bother with one they as they said z20let dont do dump valves!!

They help stop turbo stall which is good.

It makes more of a difference if your running more boost too
