    Settings on Pioneer DVH-P5900MP

I have just brought myself a Pioneer DVH-P5900MP

Its a nice stereo but really different to my old pioneer.

When im trying to do the EQ settings, its not just, treble bass and mid.

Its in numbers like 128hz 50hz ect.

    Couple of questions:

    1. How do i know what to turn up, and what setting number to have it on, because i can change the HZ and then turn that up or down.

    2. Do i have the HPF on? If so what level should it be ?

    3. On my amp i have X over and LPF, which should this be on for best sound?

Hope someone can help me, because its a real nice stereo but just hard to configure to get a nice sound, When im used to just 3 settings to change.

Only a brief answer form me im afraid, the hpf shouldn't be on.
The x-over and lpf isn't a "setting" to be switched on and off, a low pass filter will let anything lower than a set number through it and if you flick it to hpf will let anything above a certain frequency through.
This setting is used when you want to run a set of speakers in a certain "band" and cancel all other noise, e.g running components and cancelling out the heavy bass.
