In London i'd have thought you'd get a decent amount for that type of Job.

As a comparason I work as Deputy Support Manager for a software company, been in the job 6 years now.

I'm 22 and earn £27k, you should be on more than that just for being in London from what i hear.

Salary will be primarily dependent upon supply and demand. By this I mean if there are loads of IT people looking for a job, market forces will come into play and reduce the salary level. The opposite is also true.

London salary should be proportionately higher than other parts of the county due to horrendous living costs.

Also bear in mind that salaries will vary from company to company - salary is not the only means of remuneration - someone on a high monetary wage may have few holidays or be expected to work weekends etc.

Blistz - I used to live in Bristol - in Bishopston. I used to work for the council in college green. Lovely city - you're lucky to live there.

How much is it to cross the severn bridge nowadays?
