Piano Black Centre Console (On Mk4)

Has anyone ever heard or even tried to get a piano black effect on their centre console? I love the look of the Mk5 parts and think having it in a mk4 would look awesome!

Not sure if this is even possible, but any gen would be cool!

    Not that i know of.

Are you on about transplanting the whole dashboard into the Mk4 as that is the only way i can see you getting the centre console to fit.

Maybe worth a go but would imagine it would entail a fair bit of work.

Sorry I should of made it clearer!

I am after the mk5 effect on a mk4 console! No swapping dashes etc.

    Thats toooo much work imo!

Ah right got our wires crossed i think!

Could be achieved with the right paint etc, but im not a fan of the piano black consoles anyway - too hard to keep clean

There glossy, surely thats easier to clean?!

I think it might be worth asking the local bodyshop, but iirc the piano black has a streaky effect to it! Without it it's just gloss black!

Because of the streaky effect I think they will send me away!

Easier to clean, well no not really quite the opposite in fact. Any finger prints and dust will be even more visable, just like black cars are not easy to keep clean

Oh I see now, harder to keep clean!

Are there any sprayers reading this that can tell me if the effect can be painted? Please...

It wasn't quite the effect I associate with for Piano Black but never realised it looked similar! lol
