Service price and spark plug question

    Hi guys

Its time for a service and i just wanted to know what sort of price i should be expecting or what price you guys pay and think is fair.

Its a normal service not a major one for my Mk4 Astra GSI

I wont need them to change the panel filter as i got knN panel filter.

What sort of price should i expect from Vaux?

Also i had a remap and uprated spark plugs put into my astra should i let vauxhall change the plugs and put normal ones in or will this cause problems for me as ive had it mapped on the uprated plugs?

If i need to put the uprated plugs in again i can get regal to get me them, should i let them do the whole service or should i get vaux to do the service and would that be cheaper as they dont have to change the plugs as regal will do that with uprated ones. (I got to go to regal soon to have a switchable map put in anyway)

    Hope that makes sense

    Thanks

What ever you do Chris, Don't take it to VX in Trowbridge. They are completly useless. When they had my car in to fix a boost pressure sensor they had it a week and had to call another VX garage to help find the fault.

Take it to Regal to do it. or just a local garage that you trust. All that needs doing on a basic service is a oil and filter change and a gerneral check over everything to make sure its all ok.
Best to stick with the plugs u have if everythings running ok or get some new ones from Regal if they are over 2 years old. don't go back to standard plugs.
From vaux a basic service costs just over £100. should cost half that from a local garage.

hi mate, iv just paid about £60 today for a basic service on my gsi.
no plugs or air filter was changed, so just a oil and filter change and a check over the car.
really it was just to get the stamp in my book!
oh aswell make sure they dont update your ecu and wipe your map, think some vaux garages do do this, but iv never been to one. just a warning mate.
